桂花王该树王位于“中国丹桂之乡”——浦城县临江镇水东村的杨柳尖,地径1.41米,树高13.6米,平均冠幅17.8米,年产桂花240公斤。此树由基部分出九枝,枝枝饱满,年年开花,经专家测定树龄在1100年以上,堪称“桂花王”,已收入《中国桂花集成》。相传古时候,嫦娥久居瑶宫,孤独寂寞,便在桂树下思念起繁华的人间。在一个桂花盛开的夜晚,她与七仙女每人折一桂枝飞到人间。
The King of Fujian Osmanthus is situated in Yangliujian zone of Shuidong village, Linjiang town, Pucheng county, the hometown of Chinese osmanthus. The tree has a radius of 1.41 meters, a height of 13.6 meters, an average crown radius of 17.8 meters and the average flower yielding of 240 kilometers. With nine branches, each and every of which is in full blossom every year, it is hailed as an osmanthus tree with nine blossoms.
