崇明岛是世界上最大的冲积岛,在世界上,自然特征与其类似的大小岛国有42个。近10年,崇明岛开展大规模生态建设,通过生物多样性保护、经济转型与生态发展模式创新,提升了生态环境质量和百姓的生态福祉,典型示范意义重大。联合国环境规划署拟将其编入绿色经济教材,建议全球42个岛国学习。
Chongming Island is the biggest alluvial island in the world; there are 42 island nations of its size across the globe. In this past decade, a big-scale eco-environment improvement here has been implemented and presented an important demonstration significance in terms of biodiversity protection, economic transition and ecological development model for developing island nations. The UNEP spoke highly of Chongming Island, and has the plan to include its experiences into the green economy textbook as a classic example for 42 island nations.
