月湖,云南省石林县的一个彝族撒尼村寨,因村东北一个形似弯月的高原淡水湖泊而得名。月湖澄净透澈,湖畔芳草茵茵,湖心小岛上的石灰石,造型各异,玲珑精致。20世纪70年代,一部云南彝族撒尼民间叙事长诗《逃到甜蜜的地方》,再现了月湖村漫长悠久的历史,也使它从此走进了外界的视野。月湖村有6个村民组,

Moon-lake,a village of Yi Ethnic People in Shilin County of Yunan Province,is named after the crescent-shaped plateau in its north.It is home to 1,060 ancient trees and people of time-honored religions,a mysterious 500 hundred-year-old tribe of Sani Yi ethnic people.
