仲夏酷暑,我们行进在湖北黄冈大别山革命老区祭拜英烈,寻访老兵,追思历史。这里是黄麻起义的策源地,红四方面军的诞生地,新四军的根据地,刘邓大军千里挺进、中原逐鹿的目的地;这里家家有忠烈、村村有将军,周家姆舍子救红军、西路军伏尸盈雪、学兵连安息'外人墓'、抗战老兵诉说新四军不能忘却的历史……面对日寇入侵,大别山人浴血奋战,用生命挺起了中华民族的脊梁.我们不禁感慨,是怎样的党、怎样的军队、怎样的宗旨,使得人民甘愿用血肉之躯筑起铁壁铜墙维护她;党员甘愿荣辱与共、披肝沥胆拥戴她;士兵甘愿前赴后继、万死不辞跟随她……
On a scorching hot summer day, marching in Dabie Mountain, Huanggang, Hubei, we paid tribute to the martyrs, interviewed the old soldiers and reflected on the history. The area was the origin of Huangma Uprising, the birthplace of the Red Fourth Army, a stronghold of the New Fourth Army and the destination of the army led by Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping, who launched a drive to conquer the enemies. It is also the land of loyal and brave souls; you can find heroic soldiers in every household and generals in every village. You will hear lots of touching stories of local folks, who scarified their own lives for the success of the battles and wars. When the Japanese invaders intruded our homeland, people from Dabie Mountain put up a good fight, defending the nation to death.We may wonder why people were willing to fight or even die for the Party and the army, why its members also shared the weal and woe together with the Party and loved it with heart and soul, and why the soldiers fearlessly followed the Party.
