在印度洋蓝色大海中,如果把南亚次大陆比喻成欧亚大陆的耳朵,斯里兰卡就是悬挂在耳垂上的硕大宝石。历史悠久的佩拉德尼亚皇家植物园和自然保护区是野生动植物最好的避难所;品纳维拉大象孤儿院,斯里兰卡政府三次赠送给中国的小象都来自这里;还有驰名世界的锡兰红茶。中国和斯里兰卡从公元1世纪就有所交往,在“海上丝绸之路”通道上,两国战略合作意义重大。

In the vast Indian Ocean, if the South Asian Subcontinent is referred to as the ears of the Eurasian Continent, then Sri Lanka must be a giant jewel hanging on the earlobes. The time-honored Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens and Natural Reserve provide the best shelters for wildlife. Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage is the source place of all the baby elephants gifted by the Sri Lanka Government to China. Ceylon Black Tea is worldly famous products in this country. As early as the first century A.D, Sri Lanka started to communicate with the ancient China. Now the two countries’ strategic cooperation is quite significant for building the Marine Silk Road.
