This paper introduced the characteristics of photo -grade inkjet materials and approaches to develop their production process,focusing mainly on the following problems :structure of porous ink receptive layer,dye fixing mechanism,water-resistant treatment ,properties of raw materials and supports,methods of quality appraisal etc..The authors offered also some suggestions for speeding their research work.
