Review of Four Layers of Realm of a Militarist's Sagacity

儒家与兵家是中国最古老的学问,战争带来的思考催生兵学智慧逐渐向高阶迈进。春秋后期,兵学智慧没能与儒家智慧同步升华。然而,兵学智慧应该是一个开放的系统,是不断发展的思想体系。兵家智慧的第四层境界不是"不战屈人之兵",更不是"以战止战",而是为生存而战,为正义而战,为天道人心而战!时之大者在于唤醒被蒙蔽的人心。今天,弘扬兵家智慧要顺应天道人心,让中国兵家文化不朽之光重放异彩。

Confucianism and military science are the most ancient Chinese learning. The thinking brought about by wars promoted the upgrading of military science sagacity. In the late Spring and Autumn period, the military science sagacity did not get sublimation with the sagacity of Confucianism. Nevertheless, the sagacity of military science should be an open system as well as a constantly developing thinking system. The fourth layer of the sagacity of military science is neither 'to subdue the enemy without fighting' nor 'launching war to end all wars.' In stead, wars should be fought for survival, justice, the way of heaven and the will of the people. In the ancient times, the sagacious militarists fought to awaken people who were fooled. Nowadays, the militarists should follow the way of heaven and the will of the people to make the Chinese military culture to show its extraordinary talents.
