在中国,运动战这种作战形式最远可以追溯到《孙子兵法》诞生以前的春秋时期。《孙子兵法》不但系统完整地阐述了战争战略和战争中的各种问题,而且还包含有大量关于运动战的战法。从一定意义上讲,《孙子兵法》就是一部运动战的著作,而就其中的战术来讲,完全就是一部运动战应用宝典,完全可为运动战所适用。
