"庙算"是古代兴师作战之前,在庙堂里谋划作战大计、预测战争胜负的活动。信息化条件下,"庙算"融入了更多的成分,被赋予了更丰富的内涵,但其作用与地位依然重要。做好"庙算"工作,把握信息化战场制胜规律,是营造有利于己的战场态势、实现最终作战目的的重要基础,也是提高指挥员谋略水平的重要手段。

In ancient times, making calculations in the temple was an activity launched to plan strategies and predicting outcome of the war in the temple before the war was started. Under the IT-based conditions, more factors have been added to "making calculations in the temple", which also has been endowed with richer connotation.
