千古奇书《鬼谷子》是"说人主"的纵横家宝典,蕴含着政治军事斗争的大智慧。《鬼谷子》与《孙子兵法》的哲学思想诸多相通:一、秉承朴素的唯物主义认识论,主张从客观实际出发,"知彼知己";二、贯穿了"因敌制胜""因事为制"的辩证法原则;三、强调抓住矛盾的主要方面,采取"致人而不致于人"的思维方式;四、谋定而后动的全局观。

The fantastic ancient book Gui Gui Zi contains the great wisdom concerning political and military struggles. In terms of philosophical thinking, Gui Gu Zi and The Art of War have many similarities. First, through inheriting the simple materialism, they both propose to start from the objective reality and one should estimate correctly one’s own strength as well as that of one’s opponent. Second, the dialectic principle of 'taking advantage of antagonism' and 'doing what is suitable to the occasion'. Third, emphasizing grasping the principal aspect of contradiction and adopting the thinking way of 'imposing his will on the enemy, but not allowing the enemy’s will to be imposed on him'. Fourth, the full view of 'thinking before acting'.
