On the Spirit of Soviet Area——An Interpretation of Xi Jin-ping's important statements on "the Spirit of Soviet Area"

2015年3月6日,习近平在全国两会期间参加江西代表团审议讲话时,强调指出:"井冈山精神和苏区精神是我们党的宝贵精神财富,要永远铭记、世代传承,教育引导广大党员、干部在思想上正本清源、固根守魂,始终保持共产党人政治本色。"2011年11月4日,习近平在"纪念中央革命根据地创建暨中华苏维埃共和国成立80周年座谈会"上发表重要讲话,提出要"大力弘扬苏区精神",第一次明确使用了"苏区精神"的概念,概括了苏区精神的内涵、时代价值及其现实意义。时过三年,习近平关于苏区精神的重要论述,今天仍然值得我们很好地重温、学习和贯彻执行。文章旨在阐释、解读习近平这一重要讲话的精神实质,以期通过"大力弘扬苏区精神",更好地保持中国共产党人的政治本色,推进建设和发展中国特色社会主义的伟大事业,实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦。

During the annual 'two sessions'(the national NPC and CPPCC) held on March 6th, 2015, when participating in Jiangxi delegation's discussion, the President XI Jin-ping emphasized that ' the Jinggangshan Spirit and the Soviet Area Spirit are the precious spiritual wealth of the Party, which should be remembered and passed on from generation to generation; the spirit teaches and leads all party members and cadres to overhaul thoroughly and defend the soul solidly, in order to always keep the political character of Chinese communists'. In the Symposium Commemorating the 80 th anniversary of the Founding of the Central Revolutionary Base and the Establishment of the Chinese Soviet Republic held on November 4th, 2011, Xi Jin-ping released an important speech and called on us to carry forward the spirit of the Central Soviet Area. For the first time he brought forward the concept of 'Spirit of Soviet area',summed up its connotation, and explained its important value and practical significance. Three years passed, nowadays it is still worthwhile for us to review, study and carry out the spirit conveyed by Xi Jin-ping's important statements on 'the Spirit of Soviet Area'. This paper is aimed to interpret the essence of this speech, so as to keep the political character of Chinese communists, promoting the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and realizing the Chinese Nation's Dream of the Great Rejuvenation through carrying forward the spirit of soviet area.
