中央苏区时期,毛泽东十分重视群众工作,多次深入农村基层调查,并在调查报告和有关文章中对群众工作的重要性和如何做好群众工作进行了深刻地论述。这一时期毛泽东群众工作思想,贯穿着一切从群众出发,一切为了群众的主线,紧紧围绕反"围剿"战争这个中心,依靠乡苏维埃做好群众工作,充分体现了中国共产党的宗旨,体现了实事求是的精神,对于在新的历史条件下加强基层政权建设,做好群众工作,有很好的借鉴作用。

During the period of Central Revolutionary Base, Mao Zedong, who had been laying emphasis on the mass work, went to the countryside many times to investigate into the lives of grassroots, and expounded both the significance and the methods of carrying out the mass work. During this period, his thoughts on mass work revolved around 'of the people, for the people' as well as the war against 'encirclement and suppression'. Relying on the communist governments at the township levels to carry out the mass work fully embodied the aim of the Communist Party of China, and the spirit to seek truth from facts. They offer a good example for strengthening the construction of grassroots regime and accomplishing mass work in the new era.
