In Thomas Young's interference experiment, a series of light and dark fringes on a viewing screen are observed. Now if the slit is moved small displacement upwards or downwards , or regardless of in the front or back of the slit, which the slit with some kind of medium plate is coved, or the whole instrument is put in some transparent fliud , how is the law of the interference fringes on the screen ?
