是......的 'includes two different kinds of sentence type. Some comparisons have already been made about these two kinds of sentence type. This paper attempts to make a systematic comparison and -analysis of these two kinds of sentence type from the aspects of grammar, semantics and pragmatics. Particularly, the paper analyzes the different functions of these two sentence types from focus and mood.
