On Personal Style in the Design of Book Binding and Layout

艺术创作都存在个人风格问题,成熟的书装设计家在他设计的作品中同样应当体现出鲜明的个人风格。书装设计不能脱离书的内容,在此前提下设计家应强化自己的设计语言去创造具有思想性的、有生命力的并带有鲜明个人视觉特征的书装作品。

Artistic creations always show personal style. Book binding and layout should be the embodiment of a mature designer' s personal style. Yet the design of a book' s binding and layout cannot deviate from its content. Only on the basis of the conlent can a designer use his personal designing language during his work and therefore design book with ideas, life, and strong personal style.
