從歷史的角度來說,宗教在人類社會中扮演著極為重要的作用,是伴隨著人類社會不斷發展而不斷為人提供新的形式的精神歸宿。現代社會轉型,是社會發展史上最大形式的變革,傳統宗教在當前社會中面臨了諸多的挑戰,宗教似乎有一種離世俗生活越來越遠的趨勢,@似乎也就是馬克斯·韋伯所謂的'世界的解魅'。當然,按照韋伯的說法,與'解魅'的過程相適應的是,宗教在社會生活中的地位發生了根本性的變革,其影響力逐漸削減並最終集中地表現在個人信仰層面,屬於私人領域。那麼,在私人的領域,在信仰的層面,現代宗教又將會以何種形式繼續發揮其在現實社會生活中的作用?本文以上海代天宮為例,呈現了一種在都市生活氛圍下的新的宗教社群形式,認為@種社群形式的宗教信仰形式,可能在一定意義上可以為現代人的宗教生活提供一種新的嘗試。

From the perspective of history,religion plays an extremely important role in human society, and it is a spiritual home that is constantly providing new forms with the continuous development of human society. During the transformation to modern times, which is the biggest change in social development, traditional religious face many challenges. Religion seems to be a kind of from more and more distant from the secular life, which is Max Weber named as solution to the charm of the world. It means in the modern age we are witnessing the disenchantment of the world with the rise of science and the declining influence of religion. According to Weber,of course,to adapt to the process of such solution, there has been a fundamental change in the position in social life,and its influence is gradually reduced eventually belonging to private sector. Then, in what form will the religion of nowadays continue to play its role in the social life? Based on the investigations of Daitian Gong in Shanghai, this paper presents a new religious community in modern urban life, arguing that this form of religion may be a new attempt of religious life nowadays.
