The Application of Multi-Modal Theory in the Teaching of Business English Reading

摘要 随着多模态信息时代的到来,静态化、单模态化的传统商务英语阅读教学模式已不适应现代教学的需要,亟需改革。结合多模态理论,本文指出商务英语阅读课程多模态化教学的必要性,提出在商务英语阅读课程中建构多模态化的教学模式,即构建多模态教学理念,创建多模态教学资源,实施多模态教与学,并开始试验多模态化的考核。 The coming of the multi-modal information era has proven that the traditional stabilized and mono-modal way of teaching business English reading is outdated and in dire need of revolution.On the basis of multi-modal theory,this paper shows the necessity of the multi-modal teaching of business English reading.It then suggests a multi-modal teaching model for business English reading,that is,to construct a multi-modal teaching concept,to build a pool of multi-modal sources for both teaching and learning,to implement multi-modal methods in teaching and learning,and finally to begin the multi-modal evaluation in this course.
