Unceasing improvement of gas logging sampling and analytical means laid a foundation for making full use of gas logging data. Based on traditional gas logging interpretation,the paper discussed several performances in using gas logging data,especially the ratioes between C-1 and ∑C,TG and ∑C- cor,TG and ∑C in following aspects,that is,data quality control, diagnosing lithology,oil-gas-water interface determination,expounding caprock plugged efficiency,making oil source correlation and determining whether or not oil suffered biodegration.It is believed that it has a certain promoting function in pushing gas logging interpretation forward.
