"综合材料绘画"一词是为区分现代艺术中非传统绘画的表现方法而出现的,是现代艺术的重要组成部分之一。综合材料绘画于20世纪80年代传入中国,在逐步的演化中出现了一批将创作源泉深扎于中国传统文化的艺术家。中国传统文化博大精深,而如何从中国传统文化的精髓中提取艺术语言,这是综合材料绘画发展所要完成的重要步骤。无根之水难以长久,我们不应一味追求创新而忽略中国传统文化在艺术创作中的重要地位。

Comprehensive material painting is a non-traditional painting in modern arts,and is one of important components of modern arts as well.Comprehensive material painting was introduced in China in 1980 s,a large number of Chinese artists emerged in its process of development.With the vast and extensive traditional culture,how to extract artistic language from traditional culture is an important step to fulfill the development of comprehensive material painting.Without roots,nothing could go further,so we should not neglect the importance of Chinese traditional culture in artistic creation.
