季羡林1934年在《文学季刊》创刊号上发表文章评论丁玲的《夜会》,否认丁玲的思想转变,认为丁玲仍是一个彻头彻尾的小资产阶级的典型女性。此文发表后,引起文坛诸多不满,在《文学季刊》创刊号重印时,此文被抽稿。季羡林从这一事件中得出了掌握出版权力的教训,但事实上,自由的出版环境可能更为重要。

In 1934,Ji Xianlin published a commentary on'Ye Hui'in the first issue of Literary Quarterly,denying Ding Ling’s change of mind and believing that Ding Ling was still a typical female of the petty bourgeoisie.This article caused much dissatisfaction in side literary circles after it was published.When the first issue of Literary Quarterly was reprinted,it was deleted.From this incident,Ji Xianlin learned the lessons of mastering publication power,but in fact,a free publication environment might be more important.
