外语学习者语言能力的探讨

On Language Competence of the Foreign Language Learners

针对外语学习者存在语言能力与语言表现不平衡的普遍现象,本文首先分析了乔姆斯基、海姆斯等有关语言能力理论。文章随后尝试从语言设计特征,特别是能产性特征的视角,对语言能力进行探讨并指出全面的语言能力不仅是显性的规约系统知识,而且涵盖了隐性的创造性运作知识。文章最后提出要实现学习者能力与表现的平衡就要弥补语言创造性运作知识培养的缺失。

This paper,aiming at narrowing the gap between foreign language learners 'language competence and their performance,analizes first the language competence theories proposed by Chomsky,Hymes and some others.Based on the investigation of the language design features,the paper then concludes that language competence includes not only the obvious rules of language system,but the latent rules of creativity.Finally,the paper suggests that making up for the loss of cultivating the sense of creativity in our teaching is the way to balance the gap.
