上个世纪70年代,管道运输还是一个新兴的产业。经过40多年的发展,目前,我国油气管道总里程10.6万公里,中国石油、中国石化、中国海油控制的管道占总量的70%以上。今年,预计我国的油气管道将达到15万公里,国内与国外已形成了齐备的管网体系。东北、西北、华东、华中管网不断完善,中亚、中哈、中俄、中缅四大国际油气通道相继建成。油气管道以其安全、快捷、经济、绿色等优势,成为原油、成品油。
