郑天挺和孟森的学术交谊与明清史研究

Academic Friendship between Zheng Tianting and Meng Sen and Their Researches on the Ming and Qing

孟森与郑天挺先后主持北大明清史讲席二十余年,为中国近现代明清史研究的建立和发展作出重要贡献。郑天挺与孟森学术交谊颇深,关系非常密切。郑天挺在明代重要历史问题研究、满洲世系和种族起源研究、清初政治和制度史研究等诸多方面,均深化并拓展了孟森的相关研究。郑天挺和孟森治学的共同特点有:重视精研明清官修正史史料、以探微考据的方法阐明明清史重大问题、以比较的方法解决关键性问题等。

Meng Sen and Zheng Tianting had successively been Chair Professor of the history of Ming and Qing in Peking University for over 20 years,and they both made great contribution to the research in the history of Ming and Qing in modern China,They had close relationship in academic research.Zheng Tianting expanded and deepened Meng Sen’research in many aspects,such as the research in the Ming History,Manchu lineage and the political history of the Early Qing Dynasty.Zheng Tianting and Meng Sen had lots of similarities in research methods,such as paying attention to the study of official historical materials of the Ming and Qing,researching subtle problems with the methods of textual criticism,and using comparative methods to solve the key problems,and so on.
