An On-Line Updates Inverted Index Method Which Supports the High Efficient Searching

随着万维网的快速发展,产生了一种全新概念的高效文档索引技术,文章实现了一种支持高效检索及即时更新的倒排索引,它是WebME(WebMiningEnvironment)原型系统的一部分,这部分用来对特定的查询进行高效的检索,并支持即时增量索引,即对新加入的文档可以立即加入索引,且不用重新对原内容进行重索引,并且在更新索引时不会影响查询的进行。

With the rapid development of the Web Wide Web a renewed interest in efficient document indexing techniques has come about.We have implemented an inverted index as a part of WebME(Web Mining Environment )prototype system.It provides the facility to search for documents that satisfy a given query.It also supports incremental updates whereby documents can be added without re-indexing.The index can be queried even when updates are being done to it.
