Pan-art" Thought and City Construction

建设、发展城市是一门大学问,同时也是一门综合艺术;运用"泛美术"思维来构建城市的整体形象理念,对城市建设的可持续发展有着现实和历史的意义;城市建设应重视整体性、长远性、内在精神的沿续性、地方特色与个性;城市建设的定位核心是将其历史、文化、艺术作为一体化来展示,城市的现代化建设应包括这几个方面:城市的传统文化特色与个性、城市的整体形象构成、城市的公共艺术;空间艺术、生存空间以及与自然生态的和谐兼容性等。

Constructing and developing city is a kind of grand learning and is a kind of comprehensive art. Taking a 'pan-art' thought to construct the total image of a city is of historical and realistic significance to the construction of a city. Totality, long-term planning, continuance of intrinsic spirits, local characteristics and personality should be given enough attention in city construction. The core of evaluating a city is to display the city as a totality of its history, culture and art. The following aspects should be included in city construction: the traditional culture and personality, the structure of the total image of the city, the city's public arts, space art, space of existence and the harmony of the natural species.
