距今五至七千年以前,我国就出现了炎、黄、少昊、颛顼、帝喾、唐尧、虞舜等创世英雄和推动历史前进的伟大人物。根据历史典籍的有关记载,运用古代历术的推算技术,并证之以出土文物,可以明确这些人为的具体生活年代。

Five to seven thousand years ago, there appeared such great heroes as Yan, Huang, Shahao, Zhuanxu, Diku, Tangyao and Yushun, who pushed forward the development of history. According to records in ancient books, their living periods can he determined by using the ancient calendar calculating techniques and being proved with unearthed relics.
