The importance of cold start performance of internal combustion engines is presented,the factors of influencing cold start performance of them are discussed,the program on cold start test of them is listed,and evaluation for cold start of them is stated.A new index system of cold start performance of IC engines is put out according to modern social requirements for internal combustion engines.
