从分析基于内容的视频检索的优点和系统结构出发,重点探讨了系统中所涉及的镜头边界检测技术、关键帧提取技术、特征提取技术,分析了技术中各种方法的优缺点并介绍了一些新的方法,最后提出了一些值得进一步研究的问题。

In this paper,starting from a brief description of the highlights of contentbased video retrieval and its system structures.Our emphases are focused on three key techniques: scene change detection,key frame extraction and feature extraction.We analyze advantages and drawbacks of methods in every technique,introduce some new methods.At last,we put forward the problems which are worth researching further.
