少数民族经济利益是指对少数民族生存与发展起积极作用的经济上的需要和好处。经济利益是少数民族的根本利益。在市场经济条件下,维护和发展少数民族经济利益,对于发展社会主义民族关系,维护民族团结和社会稳定,全面建设小康社会具有重要意义。发展民族经济,提高物质生活水平,克服市场经济造成的不利影响,改善生存环境,是现阶段少数民族最基本的经济利益需求。实现和发展少数民族的经济利益,既要依靠少数民族的艰苦奋斗,也要充分发挥国家在经济利益调节方面的作用,还需要全国人民的大力支持。

The economic interests of ethnic groups refer to the economic needs and benefits that do good to survival and development of ethnic groups. The economic interests are fundamental to ethnic groups. Under the circumstance of market-oriented economy, maintaining and increasing the economic interests of ethnic groups are of great importance to maintain relationship among nationalities, safeguard unity and stability and build up a well-off society in an all-round way. The present economic interests of ethnic groups lie in developing the economy, increasing the material living standard and eliminating the side effects of market-oriented economy. In order to develop the economic interests of ethnic groups, it is required that ethnic groups should work hard and perseveringly, the government should regulate the economic interests and the whole nation should give help to ethnic groups.
