From Material Productive Forces to Natural Productive Forces

传统的“生产力”是指生产物质财富的“物质生产力”,这不仅与“两种生产”理论相冲突,也与现代社会赖以生存的许多物质“产品”仍依赖于自然力的生产这一现实相冲突。在某些方面,人类创造出来的物质生产力不是不够,而是过头并应予约束。现代物质生产力中已经产生出一种对自然生产和社会生活具有破坏性的力量。物质生产力与自然生产力、生产力与破坏力的协调统一,是可持续发展观的应有内涵。

The traditional “productive forces”concept refers to “material productive forces”producing material wealth and it conflicts not only with the theory of two types of production,but also with the fact that many material “products”on which modern society exists depend on the production of natural productive forces.In some respects,the material productive forces of human beings are too much, rather than insufficient, and therefore, need to be restrained. The modern material productive forces have already produced a force destructive to both natural production and social life.The harmony and unity between material productive forces and natural productive forces and between productive forces and destructive forces are the necessary element of sustainable development.
