Black people account for a large part in the population of the U. S. A. . Their influences have been deeper on society. However, researches on the Black English are not so profound or satisfying. Also, the Black English itself is controversial. At present there are two opponent points of view: one is that the Black English is only a dialect of English, just as standard English; the other is that Black English has its own characteristic features in essence and it is a separate system. This paper argues that Black English is a separate system through discussing the origin and linguistic features of the Black English.
