On the Party Nature Principles of Zhou En-lai Launching the Mind Struggle

周恩来在长期的革命和建设实践中,不仅一直坚持同"左"的或右的错误思想进行斗争,而且还对"左"的或右的错误思想的实质、特点,及其对党的事业的危害性作了精辟的论述,并提出了一系列正确开展思想斗争的马克思主义方法论原则。他依据历史经验明确提出,"左"的或右的错误思想,其结果都是葬送党的事业;反"左"比反右更困难;如果站在"左"的立场上,把"左"当"右"反,其危害性更大;开展思想斗争要实事求是,切勿走极端。这充分体现了周恩来无产阶级革命家的坚强的党性原则。

During the practice of longperiod revolution and construction, Zhou Enlai still insisted not only to fight against improper 'left' and 'right' minds, but incisively expounded upon the above improper mind's essence, characters and harm to the party career. Thereby he promoted a series of Marxism methodology principles about how to launching correct mind struggle. According to historical experiences, Zhou Enlai thought that the two improper minds inescapablely lead to the ruin of the party's career. Compared to against 'right' mind, fighting against 'left' is more difficult. Therefore, at the time we launching mind struggle, we should seek truth from facts but not run to an extreme.
