林庚先生是当代著名诗人、学者。早年毕业于清华大学,后任教于清华大学,厦门大学、燕京大学,1952年任北京大学教授。他的新诗创作和关于新诗格律的理论探讨,对中国新诗的发展具有重要意义。他在中国文学史、楚辞、唐诗与古典小说等领域的研究,有深刻、系统、独特的创见。

LIN Geng is a famous poets and scholar, who graduated from Tsinghua University. He ever taught at Tsinghua University, Xiamen University, Yanjing University and Beijing University. His newpoetry composition and theory discuss about newpoetry's rules and forms contribute great to the development of Chinese newpoetry. Moreover, his study on the field of Chinese literary History, Chuci, Tang poems and classical novels shows a deep, system and unique creative idea.
