摘要
文章依次梳理了诺·弗莱大文化观的四个来源:斯宾格勒、弗雷泽、卡西尔、荣格。这种渊源研究的目的不是为了揭示传统的伟大,也不是为了显扬弗莱的独创性,而是为了突出弗莱文化理论的主要话题及其表征,以及他对这些话题构件的辩证整合能力。文章认为,这样的话题有进步、仪式、原型、无意识、符号等,它们已经成为当代文化、文学理论的关键词,值得我们做一些历史性的探索。
This paper attempts to analyze the four sources of Frye's mega-culture concept: Spigle,Fras-er,Casie and Jonge. The purpose of such an analysis is to highlight the chief topics and features of Northrop Frye's cultural theory and his ability to integrate the constituents of his topics. It is opined that his topics, inclusive of progress, ceremony, prototypes, unconsciousness, semiotics, etc. have become key words for contemporary cultural and literary theories and are worthy of illustration from a historical perspective.
