摘要
介绍了目录的基本概念 ,分析了 L DAP、WHOIS+ +、CIP目录协议的主要特点 ,研究了国外主要的主题网关项目 (ISAAC、ROADS、DESIRE、Imesh Tool Kit)中目录协议的应用情况 ,指出目录协议在分布式索引、查询路由中起着的重要作用。
The concept of directory is introduced and the main features of directory protocol such as LDAP, WHOIS++ and CIP are analyzed. The application of directory in significant international subject gateway initiatives such as Isaac, ROADS, DESIRE, Imesh Toolkit are studied. The paper tries to explain that directory protocol will play a very important role in distributed indexing and query routing system.
