曾寅(楝亭)在西学东渐中特殊的人生际遇,使他对西洋科学和天主教神学有了较多的了解,并产生了浓厚的兴趣.其收藏的西洋科学和神哲学书籍达57种之多.曹寅这种对待西洋文化的开放态度,对曹雪芹及其<红楼梦>产生了重要影响.
