浅谈历史教育在素质教育中的地位

A Brief Discussion on the Status of History Education in Quality Education

因我国教育中长期存在重理轻文的现象,导致历史教育不被重视;在我国全面推行素质教育以来,历史教育不被重视的局面不仅没有改观,反而进一步被冷落,历史教育没有摆在一个应有的位置。但在美英等西方国家,历史教育却不断得到加强,在中小学历史被定为必修基础课,在高校日益得到普及。我认为历史教育在素质教育中的重要性主要表现在:①历史教育是爱国主义教育的重要阵地;②历史教育是道德教育的有效手段;③历史教育可以培养健康的世界观和方法论;④历史教育可以为培养社会科学人才打基础。

The phenomenon of thinking highly of physical science and ignoring liberal arts is quite common in Chinese education.This results in the disregard of history education.Since our country advocates quality education in an all round way,this situation has not been improved,but even gets worse.While in western countries,such as UK and USA,the history education has been strengthened.It is a basic compulsory subject in both primary and secondary schools,and it also becomes more popular in higher education.The author lays stress on the history education in quality education for:it plays a significant role in patriotic education;it is a effective way for ethical education;it can foster a healthy world outlook and methodology and it can lay a good foundation for cultivating social science workers.
