Shi Ji Plays in Yuan Drama

现保存下来的元杂剧中,史记戏占了其中的十分之一。这些史记戏融历史性、文学性、舞台性于一体,其思想内蕴既与《史记》有着不可分割的血缘关系,又有着作为一种戏剧的独到之处;而在艺术特性上,其人物形象、情节结构、语言等均在受到《史记》全方位的渗透和影响的同时,又有所创新。

Of the preserved Yuan Drama available today, ten percent can be categorized as Shi Ji plays. Endowed withhistoric, literary and stage-friendly significance, these Shi Ji plays bear a connotation that not only has an indivisible con-sanguinity with Shi Ji, but a feature unique to plays. As far as artistry is concerned, Shi Ji plays are comprehensively in-fluenced and infiltrated by Shi Ji, but they also display distinct creativeness.
