中国的城市化水平有多高?——城市地理研究为什么要借助分形几何学? 被引量:16

摘要 类比于海岸线的长度问题 ,本文提出三个城市地理“问题” :(1 )河南省的城市有多少 ?(2 )北京市的人口有多少 ?以及(3)中国的城市人口比重是多少 ?由此引出城市规模分布和城市形态的分形几何问题 ,进而论证 ,由于城市和城市体系的无标度性 ,要客观地确定一个国家(如中国 )的城市化水平是不可能的 ,在实践中应当制定科学的统计标准。一个必然的结论是 An analogy is drawn of the level of urbanization with the length of the coastline, and two questions are put forward and discussed: one is how many cities and towns in Henan Province; another is how big the population in Beijing is? Based on the questions, several basic urban geographical fractals are expounded. Therefore, it is impossible to exactly estimate the level of urbanization in a country like China for the scale invariance of cities as fractals. Statistical standard in this respect should be established in practice. The conclusion is that the urban geography theory can not be set up without using the fractal geometry.
