贾岛送别诗约占诗歌总数的四分之一,以近体为主,其中又以五律居多。诗歌形成一定模式,并多以磬、鹤、松、雪、猿等清冷意象为代表,虽属应酬性作品,写景画物却十分清新与工整,颇具艺术研究价值。

About a quarter of Jia Dao抯 poems are kind of send-off poetry, and most of which are 搑ecent style? especially the kind of 揻ive rhythm?(five words per statement). His poems forms a certain mode, which mostly takes object full of the sense of coldness for subjects, such as the rock (especially the kind of big and hard ones), the crane, the pine, the snow and the ape etc. Although the send-off poetry is the result of his social intercourses, it describes the view clearly and trimly, and has much of value for art-research.
