广告的目的在于提供信息、争取顾客、保持需求和开辟更大的市场。尽管达到这些目的的方式多种多样,但总离不开最基本的手段——语言。通过对现代广告英语的分析,以总结现代广告英语的三大用词特色:简洁明快,标新立异和露而不含。
The purposes of advertisements are to provide information, attract the customers, maintain demands and create mass markets. This paper, through an analysis of the English in advertisements, has drawn the conclusion that the English used is simple, lucid and unconventional.
