摘要
虽说语言基本上是心理的(psychological)而非逻辑的(logical),但是,写文章、搞翻译是不能不讲逻辑推理的.本文论及翻译中的语义逻辑推理,以实例揭示逻辑推理在确定词义、避免"翻译症"以及在解歧等方面的重要作用.
Though language is primarily psychological rather than logical,writing has to follow logics. Similarly,translation cannot be done properly without making logical deductions. This article deals with the role of logical deduction in English Chinese translation through revealing the functions it plays in determining meanings of words or phrases to avoid 'translationese' and in solving the problem of ambiguity in translation.
