晚清人才的地域分布若从进士、高级官员、著名人物三个方面来看,则总体上明显是南方要超过北方,但又不尽一致.另外,就各省内部而言,也颇多特色.

In late Qing Dynasty,the southern area had more talents (jinshi-a successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations;high official and famous figures)than the northern area though there were some exceptions.But as we consider it in the specific provinces,the talents distribution has mang features.
