Women and Sustainable Development

女性在可持续发展中起着双重作用:在对经济社会的发展作出积极贡献的同时也存在着影响自身发展和社会发展的不利因素;在对人口的控制作出重大贡献的同时也存在一些不容忽视的社会问题.因此提高女性整体素质,确保女性的生存权和发展权,建立新型的社会主义生育文化,使占中国人口一半的女性的发展与经济社会的发展形成良性循环,是实现可持续发展的重要因素.

Women play a double role in sustainable development: while they're contributing actively to the economic and soial development, they're also unfavorable factors affecting their own development and social development; On contrast to their signiticcant contributions to population control, their exist social problems not to be neglected. Therefore it's an important condition to realize sustainable development to raise women's compremensive quality, ensuring women's surviving rights and development rights, eslablishing new socialist family planning culture, making a beneficent circle for economic and social development and the development of women, which occupies half of China's population.
