Metaphor and Anthropocentrism

本文运用现代隐喻理论分析认知语言学中的“人类中心论”观点,认为认知的人类中心论本质上体现了中国文化和哲学的“天人合一”思想,是对西方传统哲学中人类中心论的超越。它的提出是与当代哲学发展的走向相一致的,并且在后现代语境中具有积极的建构作用。这从一个侧面说明了认知语言学在当代的学术意义。

This paper, by making use of insights from contemporary studies in metaphor, explores the significance of anthropocentrism put forward by cognitive linguists. Anthropocentrism in cognitive sense gives expression to the attainment of oneness with the universe, a central concept in Chinese culture and philosophy, thus surpassing the traditional anthropocentrism in western philosophy. It is consistent with the development of contemporary philosophy and is constructive in the context of postmodernism.
