Liang Qichao 's Exploration of Historical Annals

梁启超发掘出《史记》中的有关内容,为宣传资产阶级改良思想服务。他以《史记》为记载文之典范,讲解作文之道,为白话文运动推波助澜。他对《史记》的阐发体现出经世致用的时代特点。学术方面,他的研究具宏观性质,虽然较粗略,但开风气之先,对后世的学人大有启迪。

Liang Qichao explored Shi Ji to publicize his reformative thoughts of the capitalist class and offered it as a classical model in the teaching of narrative writing in order to add fuel to the flame of Vernacular Chinese Movement. All of these had a direct aim, which that was to serve the reality. Though his macroscopic research is somewhat rough, there are many valuable ideas that would inspire the later scholars.
