论译员的口译准备工作

口译的成败在很大程度上取决于译员的口译准备工作。译员在为即将到来的口译工作作好术语、主题知识和心理准备的同时 ,还应设法了解源语发言人和目的语听众 。

Successful interpreting largely depends on the interpreter's extensive and adequate preparations for it. The interpreter is expected to build up his conference_related terminological and thematic knowledge, and take every opportunity possible to know the speakers and his audience. In addition, the interpreter is supposed to get mentally prepared for the coming interpreting assignment, and make sure that he/she knows how to operate the interpreting equipment as well.
