This paper mainly expounds the process of design for grading and option teaching pattern-information management system of public sports classes in colleges and universities. The procedures and techniques of the system design are emphasized, which are the computing formula for looking up the grades of pentathlon, the tactics in regulating and controlling class division by option, the explanation for database structure and the design system procedures, which mainly discuss the chief functions of the system: performance assessment, operation of class division, result management, system maintenance, etc.
