珠江三角洲发展中人口问题探讨

Discussion on Population Issue in Sustainable Development of Social-economy in the Pearl River Delta

The population is now increasing rapidly with the development of social economy in the Pearl River Delta. The main causes are as follows:the cardinal number of population is too large;the planning of cities is out of control;the process of urbanization has been acted with undue haste;the policies to country population haven't been put into effect.The sharp increasing of population arouses the shortage of resources and serious environmental problem,and reduces the steadiness of society.In accordance with the calculation of bearing capacity,the population must be controlled effectively,and it's development plan must be carried out.Therefore,some effective countermeasures must be adopted:1)to draw up favourable policies,carry out the plan of birth control;2)to guide the process of urbanization in a correct way,to distribute population between city and countryside;3)to set up the guarantee system of social welfare,to promote society developing steadily;4)to strengthen the education and improve population quality in all-round way.
