全面建设小康社会为青年的成长发展提供了难得的重要机遇和大有作为的发展空间。在全面建设小康社会过程中,必须了解青年,研究青年。当代青年群体在社会转型时期发生了很大变化,青年群体中的阶层呈现出复杂化、上升化的趋势,他们文化素质高,眼界开阔,思维敏捷,注重实际。同时,也必须看到,社会存在的一些问题对青年的成长与发展有着负面影响。青年在全面建设小康社会必须尽快提高自身素质,紧紧抓住这个重要的发展机遇,努力学习,勇于实践,充分发挥生力军的作用,以推动社会发展和社会进步。

The construction of the overall well-off society has provided rare opportunities and favorable space for young people to grow and develop. During this course it is necessary to know and study the young. This conversion period of the society sees the great changes taking place among the contemporary young people,who are highly-educated, widely-sighted, quick-minded and practice-oriented. The classes among them are showing a tendency of complexity and ascent. However, it should be noticed that there exist some problems that have negative effects on their growth and development . Therefore, in the construction of the overall well-off society young people should enhance their own quality by taking advantage of the rare opportunities to study hard and practise courageously so that they can play the role of the fresh force and promote the development and progress of the society.
